Applications of Fengda FD® Teflon Heat Exchangers:
The full English name for Teflon is Polytetrafluoroethylene, abbreviated as Teflon, PTFE, F4, etc. Due to pronunciation reasons, it is also commonly referred to as Teflon, Teflon, Teflon, Teflon, etc. (all transliterations of Teflon). Teflon possesses comprehensive advantages that other materials cannot match, especially the temperature characteristics and corrosion resistance of Teflon material in heat exchanger applications, making Teflon heat exchangers widely used in corrosion-resistant industries such as chemical, pickling, electroplating, pharmaceutical, anodizing, etc. In the electroplating and chemical industries, they are used to connect to steam or chillers to heat or cool tank liquids to the required operating temperature.
Fengda FD® Teflon Heat Exchanger Structure:
Teflon tube heat exchangers are made from PFA, PTFE, FEP capillary tubes, with standard tube diameters of 4.5MM, 6MM, 12MM, and wall thicknesses of 0.7mm, 0.8mm, 1mm. The main structural forms include shell-and-tube and immersion types. They have unparalleled chemical stability and thermal stability (-250 to 260°C).
F4 heat exchanger tube sheets and tube bundles (φ3~10mm capillary tubes) are sintered using advanced powder metallurgy processes, offering excellent performance. Through unique and advanced welding methods, the connection strength between the Teflon heat exchanger tube bundle and tube sheet reaches 1.5 Mpa. They are widely used in heat exchange equipment and are ideal materials for tubular heat exchangers, coil heat exchangers, and condensers.

Teflon heat exchangers have corrosion resistance and anti-aging properties. Due to their excellent temperature resistance, they are suitable for both steam heating and hot water heating.
Teflon material has non-stick properties, resulting in good anti-fouling performance. Due to the chemical inertness, smooth surface, flexibility, and high expansion coefficient of polytetrafluoroethylene tubes, the heat transfer surface is difficult to foul, greatly reducing equipment maintenance frequency and ensuring relatively stable heat transfer coefficients and long-term production operation.
Teflon heat exchangers have excellent anti-aging performance. Since Teflon contains no photosensitive genes, it has outstanding resistance to atmospheric aging. In highly corrosive media, its service life is 20 to 30 times that of stainless steel.
Teflon heat exchangers have good heat transfer performance. Because the heat exchanger uses thin-walled tubes with wall thicknesses of only 0.7mm, 0.8mm, and 1mm, it overcomes the disadvantage of low thermal conductivity of Teflon material.
Teflon heat exchangers have low resistance. Due to Teflon's very low friction coefficient, low roughness, and excellent lubrication properties, the fluid resistance within the tube bundle is lower than that of metal tubes.
